Wollsdorf’s light-weight, environmentally-compatible and user-friendly aircraft leather AMBA ECO and AMBA FOC FOC is a true innovation. Compared to conventional aircraft leather it offers the following advantages:
Fuel Savings: With its up to 40% lower weight (≤ 650 g per m²) compared to similar aircraft leather, the customer can make annual fuel savings of approx. US$ 35,000 per plane (based on the example of the A-320). Thanks to completely new tanning processes Wollsdorf Leather is able to provide AMBA ECO FOC with the same fastness and identical tear resistance as the Ambassador aircraft leather used by our customers all over the world, despite lower weight.
Resistance to Soiling: Our likewise newly developed SPS finish is also used for AMBA ECO FOC. This Surface Protection System improves resistance to soiling many times over especially with light colours. Where necessary SPS also guarantees quick and easy cleaning of soiled leather surfaces.
We supply AMBA ECO FOC as smooth Nappa leather, either chrome-tanned (AMBA ECO) or alternatively tanned (AMBA ECO FOC).
Of course AMBA ECO and AMBA ECO FOC meet all flame-resistance, smoke density and toxicity requirements.
